Three Serious Figure painters needed

life drawing
Life drawing by Julie Wetenall

Life drawing classes often quickly devolve into highly repetitive formats. We start work and the group forms a consensus agreement on a five minute drawing to warm up. Then follows a series of ever lengthening different poses. The situation can become the same every week. Week after week. Year after year. I need artists who experiment with the use of a figure.
What I need is three like minded painters to join the Saturday group with the idea of trying out new things: one pose for all of the session for painters to have enough time to work. Two models working together. Varied heights for models. Models slowly moving. Each artist would come with a list of their own ideas. Write and tell us what you want and we will try and fix it.

Would any of you be interested in a one-day painting session? Working from a Life model with one simple standing pose.

We would start at 10 am. Have a thirty-minute lunch break (bring your own packed lunch) and then end at about 3.30 pm.

The objective will be to work on one image all day.

If you are interested please would you email me soon and say what days you can be available from April 6th to 12th. I will then try to choose a day best for all.

Fees would be higher for this session as it is longer £25 for 5 hours of studio time.  I will only set up this session through Eventbrite so you will have to book in advance. No exceptions!

The cash raised by this event would go into subsidising the Wednesday sessions.

Please let me know what you think.

The last two Wednesday and Saturday sessions were poorly attended further depleting our cash reserves.
